Hard disk drives have come a long way and while solid state drives have become main stream, we can still find them installed in many cheap laptops or as a secondary drive. The latter is actually the case with the Asus Strix ROG GL553vd where it had a 128 GB of M.2 Sata and a 1 TB hard disk drive (HDD). Applications open quite fast with the stock SSD but when workloads increase where access to the hard drive is necessary, we find a usage of almost 100% which becomes a bottleneck in an already slow system. To solve this, the hard disks and the optical drives were replaced by two Samsung 870 Evo SSDs. To install the SSD in the optical drive, a hard disk caddy was used. (Purchase the HDD Caddy here). There are three ways to play a duel in this game: training, room match, and duel matches. Training matches are extended tutorial sessions. It is better to take these because they give a lot of prizes. Room match is an avenue for you and your friends to take battles. You can also battle with strangers here. Pokemon Duel Game Review (Part 3)
Purple attacks have different status modifiers dependent on the element of the Pokemon. There are ten types of status modifiers: Poison, Noxious, Paralysis, Burn, Confusion, Sleep, Frozen, Wait, Curse Marker, MP -1 Market. The poison status reduces 20 damage of pokemon, while noxious reduces 40 damage. Paralysis forces an attack with the smallest piece on the spinning wheel to miss. Burn status has the same effect for paralyze, however, burn reduces 10 damage of the affected pokemon Confusion forces the affected pokemon to take the next move clockwise on what is chosen by the spinning wheel. Sleep condition immobilizes a pokemon in the game. However, the pokemon can wake up when another pokemon touches it or an awakening plate is used. Like sleep, frozen also immobilizes the pokemon and it makes all the attacks to miss. Frozen status can only be reverted when the pokemon is out of the game.
