Talking with Apple's Siri through voice command is cool. However, this series of Twitter posts will change your mind. A random girl left her phone while going to the restroom. A stranger found the iPhone and attempted to use Siri to pull up basic information of the user. She was horrified by what she found out. https://twitter.com/afronomics_/status/833784254848970756 The the first thing she asked from Siri is "What is my name?", and the voice assistant replied with the name of the user. https://twitter.com/afronomics_/status/833779390492372992 Then, she ask "Who do I call most?". Good thing the real owner went back to retrieve her phone. https://twitter.com/afronomics_/status/833779755518423040?ref_src=/twsrc^tfw However, the scenario got a bit more uncomfortable for the stanger (the one who tweeted). She realized that Siri has a security risk on its system considering that the name and basic information of the user was pulled about by just asking … [Read more...] about Siri Can’t Be as Secured as you Think – Check this Twitter Post

The LG Ultrafine 5K monitor has the price of 56,000 Php ($1,127 USD). It is also promoted as an external display for Apple Mac devices. Why I think Phone Notifications should Stop
I have to admit, phone notifications are cool on their first release. On the long run, I begin to realize that I do not really need them. They just add up to the stress of my daily tasks and things just keep redundant. It has the same effects as social media sites send notifications on our email addresses. The point is, you know that there is someone you texted or called you is already a thing in the past way before the advent of smartphones. To be aware of what is happening in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, Periscope, and whatever social media app is absolutely useless. Why do we have to be reminded all the time if we have notifications from these sites if we open them regularly? Do we really have to connect always to the internet? Sometimes, by doing so, we lose touch with other human beings. Talking about games, Clash of Clans for example, should I be informed that someone attacked my village? It will give me a frown before opening the base. Notifications just add … [Read more...] about Why I think Phone Notifications should Stop
Why I think Unskippable Video Ads should Stop
Yeah, yeah, same with pop-ups advertisers are necessary for the funding of our beloved websites. They come they with new ways on irritating us. Barging in on our screens for a couple of seconds is already enough distraction. However, not being able to skip them is revolving. The worst case scenario of unskippable Video Ads is the possibility of that being able to watch the intended video. Since the video ad is overlapping, the media player cannot load anymore why the user was on that link on the first place. This happened to me when I was about to watch an episode of On The Wings of Love on iwantv.com.ph. I was not able to watch that episode because the Promil commercial barged in and the actual video was not able to load up. It wasted about 15 minutes of my life. I understand that the advertisers have their contracts signed as agreed with the site. However, as their potential costumers, we have planted hate towards that product. They became the reason of our hindered … [Read more...] about Why I think Unskippable Video Ads should Stop
Why I think Autocorrect should Stop
I have complained about this for a long time already and I am not alone. A lot of people are angry about this for obvious reasons. Autocorrect sometimes can be useful only if they supply the correct word needed for the article. Because of writing too much, some words are corrected differently and the most frustrating part of it is that it cannot be detected immediately because there are not red marks of the incorrect word. I have to admit that autocorrect comes in handy to mispelled words. However, if the word is strange on the English vocabulary, it will be transformed to the closest English word. The problem of autocorrect is not isolated on the English speaking population. If we communicate through text or email on other countries, autocorrect is a pain in the neck. Our problems, even if Filipinos understand English, are far worse. When I try to text something in Visayan or Tagalog, the autocorrect just mess it up. Android and iOS devices suck on this one. They replace … [Read more...] about Why I think Autocorrect should Stop
