Korean multinational electronic company LG apologizes to their customers who just bought a their new premium-priced monitors. The display are disrupted when their is a nearby WiFi router.
The LG Ultrafine 5K monitor has the price of 56,000 Php ($1,127 USD). It is also promoted as an external display for Apple Mac devices.
Whenever there is a Wi-Fi router near the monitor, the display screen flickers and then turns off. Apple’s website has been swarmed by these negative comments from customers.
As a troubleshooting procedure, LG suggests to move the monitor two meters away from the WiFi router.
Since the device turns on and off each time, they conclude that the monitor is not yet reading for public release. The problem is due to LG Ultrafine 5k monitor’s lack of WiFi shielding capability.
LG apologizes for whatever inconvenience and requests bothered customers to contact them for further isssue since the Ultrafine 5K monitor should already have enhanced shielding feature.
