If you are a fan of anime, superheroes, or any of those fantasy shows wielding bad-ass weapons, then Man at Arms is the YouTube channel for you.
Man at Arms is a videos series uploaded by AWE me featuring real-life blacksmiths creating real versions of fictional swords and weapons.
Every show on this segment is oddly satisfying by itself especially when smelted, melted, and tempered metal show on the screen. It is always interesting to see blacksmiths on action on their job.
I first heard about Man of Arms when I saw the video of them recreating One Piece’s Dracula Mihawk’s sword.
Since I’m an anime fan (a certified otaku even), I did not stop watching the rest of their weaponry — Ichigo’s Zangetsu, Kirito’s Elucidator, Asuna’s Rapier, Saber’s Excalibur and many more.
The channel does not only limit their productions with the anime world though. They also make weapons coming from the Marvel and DC universes of superheros.
Equipment from science fiction movies like Star Wars are also part of their arsenal. The same can be said from famous console games Devil May Cry and the Final Fantasy franchise.
Man at Arms is pretty informative too since the cast explains the science and art behind sword making. These guys have real talent and they make the imagination of many people come true. If only I am rich enough, I will be buying their sword at whatever price.
Every video ends with a astonishing wielding of the weapons they just created. They will cut fruits (mostly watermelons), soda cans, plastic containers, glass, bamboo, and many more materials they can think of. It makes you feel that you are slashing those projectiles.
I hope to see more of these videos because they did an amazing job — producing spectacular visuals in the internet.
