Last week, the Philippine internet community broke out when famous parody page Senyora Santibañez was shut down. Its 2 million followers found out that the unpublishing of the page was politically motivated. Facebook authorities apparently mass reported Facebook pages that support President Duterte.
However, the reporter were traced down and found out to be trolls. We have a list of these pages below:
Pepeng Makabayan deliberately goes against any actions of the current Philippine government. However, instead of taking attacking President Duterte directly, the page attacks his supporters.
This is an example how Pepeng Makabayan shames Krizette Laureta Chu, a prominent Duterte support, calling her an idiot and a pig.
2. Resbak Operatives
The goal of this group is “to clean” social media from all posts supporting Duterte.
The picture above is a proof that part of Resbak Operatives’ job is to mass report pro-Duterte pages and personalities.
3. Change Scamming
Change Scamming’s name is a pun of Duterte’s famous campaign slogan “Change is coming”. The page is famous for posting memes against the president no matter how senseless or baseless they are. Read: Anti-Duterte Page Posts Stupid Comparison Pic on Ms. Universe.
The photo above is full of fallacies and never mind the sources because they don’t have anyway. The point of their meme’s is to ignite anger.
4. Mr. Obosen
Mr. Obosen criticize Duterte by editing ridiculous photos and even use foul language on their posts.
5. Oras Na, Roxas Na.
The page name was literally the slogan of Liberal Party’s presidential candidate, Mar Roxas. Seriously, can these guys move on?
The elections was already already over eight months ago, but this page continues to campaign for their ideal.
In the end, please answer this rhetorical question, “Are these pages posting out of love for the country or out of hatred for Duterte?”.
