It’s official! The second generation of Pokemons is now available on the popular augmented game, Pokemon GO.
About 80 new creatures are recently added to the mobile game which originally came from the game boy Pokemon games Silver and Gold. Last holiday season, a few of these second generation pokemons were already available through baby pokemons from hatching eggs.
Pokemon GO latest update also provide new options of players to customize their avatars. In addition, another type of berry which makes catching Pokemons easier.
The release of the second generation of Pokemons has long been anticipated since the launch of the game. However, just like with the first batch of pokemons, legendaries Lugia, Hooh, Entei, Raiko, Suicune, and Celebi are not yet available. Probably, these legionaries are reserved for events or upcoming tournaments. The legendary birds, Mewto, and Mew has to wait. For now, trainers have to settle with Dragonite from gen 1 and Trynanitar from gen 2 as the god tier pokemons.
While the release of the pokemons in the Jotho region might bring life of the game, many of the promised features are not yet available. Having trading and PVP battles available in the game will fulfill the app’s promise to the fans of the Pokemon franchise. For now, it is still far from that most.
It is still trivial whether the generation 2 pokemons can bring players back to the game or the game can compete to popular games in the Android and iOS platforms. For now, player should catch these new breeds.
