Microsoft’s may have relatively poor performance in their attempt in the smartphone industry, but they remain strong in the desktop platform. One of the factors that fortifies their standing in the technology market are companies who have been loyally using their software through the years.
Every new software release of their operating system, Microsoft is always aggressive to make their clients to update. They are not taking more chances for the old version even if the support division is still set to expire in 2020.
The urgency to migrate to Windows 10 comes with a warning to those who are still using the older versions. The company admit that Windows 7 will no longer be considered a software impenetrable against malware and hacking tools.
Requirements in the modern society have upgraded and Windows 7 can no longer keep up. By extension, companies who stubbornly opt to remain to the old OS will suffer higher fees in terms of maintenance because of computer viruses and the absence of technical support.
In addition, Window 7 will no longer recognize new features of what the latest technology demands. Thus, not upgrading will lead to user inconvenience and decreasing efficiency for work
The security system of Windows 7 is now updated, not to mention that basic support of the OS ended last two years ago.
Microsoft guarantees its users that Windows 10 offers security with fancy built-in features like biometric security system. Windows 10 users can access their device through fingerprint, facial recognition, iris scan, or voice control.
Companies’ respond to Microsoft’s demand is still a trivial matter since some of them are still stuck with “ancient” versions like Windows XP.
