Most of post in social media are dominated by people living in the Northern Hemisphere, but this is more to see in Africa.
A Nigerian YouTube channel, MarkAngelComedy brings laughter in the net. They have a particular humor unmatched elsewhere in the whole.
The most notable character in the comical group is Emmanuela. She is a young girl from the Igbo tribe who acts with her uncles.
Everyone in the set speaks in English with a Nigerian accent. For some reason (no derogatory remarks), the way they speak makes their performance very hilarious. They must be doing it intentionally.
More than the manner of speaking, is the delivery of every line that makes the cast of MarkAngelComedy very funny. Anyone can understand them by just looking at their actions alone. Anyone will have an impression that they are in a gag show.
Since, for most native English speakers, most of their words are incomprehensible, subtitles are provided.
Nigeria, like many developing countries, uses English as an expensive language. English has increasingly become popular in their economic and political affairs in partnership will countries such the USA and UK — not to mention Nigeria used to be a colony.
Here is an example of their video:
This humor is a rendition of the Mr. Bean which surfaces in the internet as a meme. Emmanuela and the crew dyed the joke with their own color with their own version.
They have countless of videos already and the video you have watched is already on episode 82. I suggest to watch them all if you don’t want to end your laughter. I don’t find it corny at all.
