To be honest, before the crown duel arrives, I find the whole game too boring to play. Daily crown chest seems like obligations than entertainment to fulfill. As I progressed to higher arenas, matches get difficult to win.
Crown duel is more of a breather away from the increasing difficulty of game levels offering a new system within the game — more of a “going out from the normal” thingy.
The first entry is free. Since it was my first time player (being unfamiliar with the rules yet), I lost three times in a row. Thus, getting the lowest possible prize.
The second time entering the crown duel requires 5 gems per entry, which is cheap considering the winning rate and fun behind.
The most winning streak I have achieved so far is 7 wins. I have not gone beyond that number – maybe because of sheer bad luck.
There are some tips I can share to everyone, though I feel indignant sharing some tips.
First, it would be wise to choose cards with the lowest elixir requirement. By doing so, you can spam units in a short time. Consequently, the enemy will have a hard time doing a combo deck because of high elixir requirement.
Since the cards are chosen by opposing parties, always put in mind that the opponent will never have the same card on your deck.
Most importantly, just like in the regular matches, always put in mind that your makeshift deck should contain cards in harmony with each other. It does not mean that if the enemy gets all the expensive cards, he will have difficult time.
In the end, Clash Royale is a game that requires both skill and luck.
