Supercell, the creator of popular mobile games like Clash of Clans (COC) and Boom Beach, finally gets back to its knees since the introduction of Clash Royale.
Clash Royale is more like a live player vs. player (PVP) version of Clash of Clans. The uses the same units as its predecessor but with a more royal touch with the existence of some units not appearing anywhere in COC — Prince, Princess, knight, etc…
Going to the main point, Clash Royale introduces a new system within its game than will get any player excited everyday. It is called the “Crown Duel”.
Months before, the game opened the tournament system which players worldwide challenge which other with a balanced level of cards.
Cards are leveled down to:
King Level: 9
Common level: 9
Rare level: 7
Epic level: 4
Legendary level: 1
Overtime length: 3 minutes
It has a fee of 10 gems per entry. Each can earn a prize corresponding of its winning streak (maximum of 12). However, if a player loses 3 times, he/she is out of the tournament.
The same rules apply for the crown duel, but there is a twist. Unlike the regular tournament, in the crown duel, there is no freedom in building the card deck.
The cards are chosen by a random pool of cards both by the player and his/her opponent. Each opposing party is given a option to choice a card from 4 pairs. So, there are 4 cards in all. The other cards which is not chosen will go the opponents deck and vice versa completing a deck of 8 cards.
Given the circumstances, the new feature needs much luck from the players.
