Pokémon GO will probably (personally, with outmost certainty) be the best mobile game of the year. Almost everyone of my generation is crazy about it. They get their rubber shoes on not to run, but to walk for miles on the lanes to catch some Pokémons.
However, catching these virtual creatures on an augmented virtual reality game is not an easy task. One needs to flex his sensory and motor skills on it. Finding a pokemon does not guarantee that it will be captured.
The main problem is due to swiping pokeballs on the screen. Imagine playing Angry Birds facing front. A Pokémon GO player needs to learn simple Physics to throw some balls.
Worry no more, the “Pokéglass” is here. Actually, it is a tempered glass that fits on your iPhone. On the center of the tempered glass lies a vertical space that guides someone’s finger in swiping a pokeball to a pokemon. There’s no cheating here. It is just that you need to buy this extra accessory to “enhance” your gameplay. What the video below.
This product is manufactured by AMAZINGthing or “at” as one of their Supreme Glass series. For now, the mobile add-on is only available for iPhone users.
I have a few reservations, though, despite the fact Pokéglass aides many player who struggles on catching a pokemon. Allow me to number them up to you.
- It is still available only for iPhone users. Don’t make me buy this overpriced phone.
- It is inconvenient to use for other phone applications. Pokémon GO is not the only function of your smartphone.
- The empty space on the screen makes the iPhone ugly.
- It loses the chance for a curveball. With a vertical line on the screen, it is very difficult to perform a curveball. It is fun to do some exhibition. Plus, a curveball allows a Pokémon GO trainer to gain additional 10 XP points. “You will appear a loser if you will use this ‘Pokéglass’.”
Stop being a drag here. I don’t think the way how you swipe your Pokéballs greatly affects the amount of experienced gained by a player. What is more important is the frequency of pokemons appearing your area radius.
For now, I am not convinced to buy this product and will not surely recommend this to my friends. It’s a waste of money.
