Imagine Pokemon in the real world. When you go to your backyard, do not be surprised if you will encounter an Oddish or a Ratata on the sewer. Imagine engaging Pokemon battles with your friends. Imagine catching them all.
Seems like a child’s dream huh? But, uhuh, it’s no more.
Nintendo takes Pokemon to the next level. For this time, it is no longer on our Gameboys or our PC emulators but on our smartphones. Before the death of the Japanese firm’s former CEO, Saturo Iwata, the company was already eying in penetrating the smartphone market.
This coming 2016, Nintendo prepares to surprise us in a new virtual reality. They will launch a program named “Pokemon Go” that will serve as a new application that provides an interactive community of aspiring Pokemon trainers. It is like making the whole Pokemon universe into a social media.
The news was announced today and it became a trend worldwide in Twitter worldwide and selected countries. It circulated so much buzz around social media.
In their YouTube video, it shows that Pokemon Go enables your smartphone with awesome features. It shows cathcing Pokemons in the wild, battle with other players, and group battles. In the climax of the advertisement, an awesome innovation cracks up my nostalgia tank. Pokemon Go will host some events that will fight against evil pokemons like Mewto.
Aside from the app per se, Pokemon Go includes a wearable watch called “Pokemon Go Plus”.
For now, Pokemon Go will be available to the Android and iPhone market. I guess that the Windows Phone community has to wait a little longer as usual.
By the way it is introduced, I think Pokemon Go is gonna be incredible. This will be a big hit considering the big market of those who grew up with game boys on their hand. Well, count me in.
