Clan Wars is probably the most awesome system within Clash of Clans (COC). Without it, what is the use of the name of the game?
During clan wars, players of opposing clans show their might against each other. Prior every war, a 24-hour preparation day is set to arrange the war base and to train some troops. Same with the preparation day, the war day also last for 24 hours. Each player has two attacks to destroy the enemy bases.
The key is strategy because it is the stars that determines the winner. Destroying 50% of the base is one star. Destroying the Town Halls is another. And, completely annihilating the base tantamount to 3 stars.
The winner will receive 100% of the bonus loots and additional 50 experience points for the clan. However, if the team loses or get’s a tie, only 20%-25% of the bonus loots can be obtained.
The most annoying thing is ending the war with a tie. After excreting so much effort, even if both team gets the perfect score for, only a fraction of the loots is distributed. Plus, there is no additional bonus experience point too. It simply sucks.
During the Nordic COC Tournament last month another rule is observed to determine the winner – the average destruction percentage. The same rule is the latest update of the clan wars system. In case of a tie in the stars, the average destruction will serve as the tiebreaker.
The same system of earning the most stars still remain. However, the new rule requires players to do their best to smash the opponent. But the best news is “IN EVERY WAR, THERE IS ALWAYS A WINNER AND LOSER.”
Other updates this month includes some modifications of the spells, new walls, and a new 7-day shield protection for those who belong to the Titan league.
