Have you heard the news? Ashley Madison has been hacked. For those who have no idea what Ashley Madison is, it has something to do if you are not happy with your partner.
Ashley Madison is an online dating site for those couples who wants an extra-marital affair. Its slogan goes “Life is short. Have an affair”. Avid Life Media, based in Canada, owned the site and helps couples to cheat on their partners.
The site promises protection of very sensitive information like the name. Even the profile picture is discreet with the face covered by a mask or blur effects. Messaging services are only available once you use your credit card. You can even be a priority person by subscribing to premium accounts with an additional daily fee. For now, there are over 39 million users of the cheating site worldwide.
Unfortunately, it appears that a lot of secret affairs will come on an end anytime soon. Hackers of the site reveals information one by one of the users. The very first victim is Josh Duggar who stars a pro-life family show in the US.
One very interesting data of the internet scandal is the demographics it brought. In the worldwide map, the whole continent of Europe and the US has been colored by yellow and orange. The same glow can be seen in the Philippines. General data reveals that about 90% to 95% of the users are male. Yellow dots means less than 85% are male users while the orange dots show those places with above 85% male members.

Most of the adulterous regions in the Philippines are population centers like Manila, Cebu, and the rest of the CALABARZON. The data did not reveal any personal information yet but it does reflects the lust of the Filipino society. It also manifest the economic status of the Filipino high society since Ashley Madison requires credit cards.
The hackers divulged the information in public because they were angry at Ashley Madison for creating fake female accounts.
Perhaps, from now, you will hesitate in joining dating site because it appears that nothing is safe in the internet.
