I have always been a Windows Phone fan. Since I bought my Nokia Lumia 925, I have never been happy to own a unique phone. The camera and ecosystem is great. I am also excited for Windows 10 OS which I installed last night. I have been dying to write a review about it but I never thought the first article about the latest software will be one of disappointment.
I never thought I could lose my phone for such bad update. My phone wont turn on now and it keeps on updating because the process last night was unfinished. All I repeatedly see is the Nokia logo and two spinning gears. I tried to find some troubleshooting steps online which most suggest on pressing the power and volume buttons, however, the only progress I got since it a lightning and small cog wheel icon which I have found out as one of the classic problems of Windows Phone users since 2013.
Again, my phone wont turn on and it wont charge even a single battery bar. It definitely sucks. I feel helpless that even a manual reset to factory settings wont work.
I don’t even consider to go to your service centers especially here in the Philippines because that is where I experienced my first heartbreak with Windows Phone. The issue that time was an automatic locked down screen. I went to one of your service center in Cebu City and the technician gave me a lame excuse of “liquid intrusion”. He declared my warranty void and even further suggested to repair the phone for at least 10,000 Php. Why should I repair a phone worth 25,000 Php for almost half the price of it? I might as well buy a new one. I opted for simple cleaning. The main problem though as I have found out in the Microsoft community is something to do with the software. But, I don’t experience any problems for 20 months until now — until Windows 10 came into the picture.
In short, I don’t trust your personnel anymore. I believe this ordeal now has something to do with your software glitches.
I have already written many articles about your products. These are some notable ones:
I hope this recovery tools which I have just downloaded can solve my problem. Or else, this will add up to your bad software reputation.
A loyal Windows Phone user.
