Arranging Your Base
The arrangement of the base really matters. Every TH level has a definite number of buildings and, therefore, requires a different design. The base design of the bases can generally be classified into five frameworks: Farming base, Trophy Base, Hybrid base, War base, and Troll Base. Each base has its own definite purpose and you can shift from one design to another in the edit base option.
Farming base aims to protect all your resources. Generally, the storages are placed on the middle and the collectors inside the walls. The Town Hall is outside the walls. (see Part 2 for more details).
Trophy base aims to safeguard your trophies. Therefore, the TH is placed on the core of the base. Storages are often disregarded for the sake to raise the number of cups and join a higher league.
Hybrid bases secures both resources and trophies. Both the TH and storages are placed on the center. However, no matter how a hybrid base sounds balanced, there is no guarantee that both are insured when a raid comes. Most likely, one side of the base is wiped out because of a quite disoriented placement of defenses.
War base is what you use during Clan Wars (CW). The resources like storages and collectors are completely disregarded because you won’t lose anything wherever a opponent attacks. The TH lies as the top priority. As much as possible the base should be fortified in a manner that it will not be completely destroyed. What matters most in CW are the stars. War base design has specializations too. It would be Anti-Giant/Healer, Anti-Dragon, Anti-Hogs, Anti-Balloons… The good thing about War Bases is that whenever upgrades or construction of buildings is still on-going, that building will still active during the war. However, any changes after the preparation day would not apply.
Troll bases are taken as special kind. Most likely they are to trick or piss off of the attacker. I will prepare a special section for this to explain further. Most of these bases have a definite design or text arranged.
If you are having difficulties in arranging your base, you can refer to the examples from Google and Youtube. Just a tip, before you will imitate them, be sure to read the comments first to preliminarily evaluate if the base design functioned effectively or not. Here are some of the examples:
