Some people say that within 20 to 30 years books will become obsolete. Textbooks used in used in schools will be soon replaced by tablets, laptop notebooks, and other digital reading devices. In extreme cases, writing using a pen and paper would soon be a skill in the past. But, that’s is something that we cannot accurately predict for sure. As of now, in the publication industry, what increasing rising as a trend that seemingly replace novels are eBooks.
There are two common eBook formats that goes around online namely, PDF and EPUB.
PDF stands for “Portable Document Format” used to present documents independently from any software applications, hardware, and operating systems. It shows texts and other information in a manner that cannot be edited. So, it is like a document converted into text pictures. The most popular program that reads PDF formats is Adobe Acrobat Reader which acts as the standard for computer reading.
EPUB, on the other hand, stands for “Electronic Publication”. It is a free and open eBook standard by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF). Its main advantage against PDF is that the contents are reflowable and can flex in most of the devices available in the market.
However, some devices do not support both or worse, do not support any of those formats at all. That is when the necessity for a converter comes in. If you browse your Appstore (whether iStore, Google Play, or Windows Store), you have plenty of converting applications to use from. But, did you know, you can actually convert for eBooks online?
There is no need to download any program that are prone to many viruses. Here are some links that I can recommend to convert your eBooks online.
Enjoy Converting. Enjoy Reading.
