I don’t know if Miss Earth USA, Nicole Lynn, is just going with the trend of claiming her Facebook account was hacked, but the comments/status written in her wall definitely brought an ire to many of the Filipino people, especially her Filipino fans who looked up to her. According to sources she was sent back because of the comments she made.
This is one example of keeping your comments to yourself. Though Facebook is such a nice avenue to share your thoughts and ideas, it is definitely not the place to share remarks that might inflame the emotions of others. Even if what she said may be true, the Filipino people, despite all the problems it has and criticisms thrown at them, are proud of their nationality and country. We hope we can all learn from this lesson as well. The video is about Miss Earth USA, Nicole Lynn, explaining her side of the controversy. She also apologizes for what happened. The video was posted last November 19, 2011 and according to the uploader iammissearth,
This video was posted last November 19, 2011 after the allegation of the Facebook page was made. We have confronted Ms. Kelley immediately and it was resolved right then and there. Thus, we asked her to make this video on a computer.
The photo began circulating today, almost 3 weeks later and this video explains her side. We are proud of the Filipinos and encourage everyone to be verify first before making any harsh comments.
