So Sony has finally launched its newest handheld gaming console, the PlayStation Vita, in Japan yesterday. Sporting 5 inch OLED screen with a 960×544 screen resolution, it promises to bring gamers into a different gaming experience. According to reports, PlayStation Vita is fast and powerful. Fast and powerful, usually means more graphic detailed games and the promise of more multimedia capabilities. Together with the its launching, Sony has also released an online manual for the PlayStation Vita. The manual hinted future video playback capability of 1080p. For now, PSV can only play 720p.
Just after its launching, Sony released firmware update version 1.50. Though the update does not really indicate what it was going to update, it was however a mandatory one. Sony claims that it would enhance the Vita’s security and activate other features.
Sony PlayStation will be officially released on the US on February 22, 2012. Prices are expected to be at $250 for Wi-Fi and $300 for 3G.
