Despite being a poor country, Filipinos seem to find ways to help other Filipinos, especially in the direst time. Last Friday and Saturday, Filipinos from Mindanao, especially from Illigan and Cagayan de Oro experienced one of the fiercest typhoons in 12 years. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the death toll rose to 334 (Update: NDRRMC claims 533 death already) while 7 were injured and 281 still missing. The National Red Cross, however, claims that the death toll has already reached 652.
As of now 22,989 families or 125,250 people in 150 villages in 23 towns and eight cities in 13 provinces were affected by typhoon Sendong. This also does not include the 1, 334 houses that were destroyed together with 3, 070 damaged houses. Pictures of the damages after typhoon Sendong lashed at Illigan and Cagayan de Oro have been going viral in Facebook but much more to that the appeal to help Sendong victims have also gone viral. Below are the list of how you can help typhoon Sendong victims.
