UK PlayStation Network Video Store; Rolling Out Downloadable TV Shows
In an effort to catch up with Microsoft’s Xbox Live services, Sony has also opened up for download TV shows in their PlayStation Network Video Store for UK PlayStation 3 owners, allowing them to choose from a wide array of TV shows such as Breaking Bad, South Park and Arrested Development-popular American TV shows.
The service does not come without some oddities. A costumer may not download the entire season and only some parts of a season are available for download. Odd in a sense that this service is supposed to compete against the much mature iTunes and lure others away from Xbox 360.
Price for Standard Definition (SD) starts at £1.89 for SD and up to £2.49 for High Definition (HD) shows. Downloaded shows are for keeps in the gaming console.
