After defacing RIM’s Blackberry blog during riots at London and spreading sensitive information about former Prime Minister Tony Blaire, TeaMpOisoN has once again found another victim, by hacking into the United Nations (UN) website and spreading 100 passwords and login details in the internet. Specifically, TeamPoison targeted the United Nations Development Programme website. According to Susan Ghosheh, UNDP spokeswoman, that the hacked website was “an old server which contains old data” . She further stated that,
“The UNDP found [the] compromised server and took it offline,” said Sausan Ghosheh.
“The server goes back to 2007. There are no active passwords listed for those accounts.
“Please note that UNDP.org was not compromised.”
The hacked infromation was then uploaded to the website Pastebin under TeamPoison’s logo. After the hacked information was the message that the UN did “facilitate the introduction of a New World Order” . The message even asked “United Nations, why didn’t you expect us?” TeamPoison also taunted UN’s online security with these words.
According to Sophos blog, more “Robin Hood” type of hacking will be witnessed in the future. TeamPoison claims that it will hack its way into banks and give money to individuals or charity who needs it.
