Watching ANC’s Future Perfect today, I was quite glad to know (yeah I know this is old news already) that the Philippines can now say it has its own online e-book store which caters to the needs of Filipinos. Much of the e-books stores online such as Amazon and iBook are only accessible to Filipinos with credit cards. Majority of Filipinos who have gadgets, capable of reading e-books do not have e-books because purchasing one is almost as close to impossible. Those who can purchase however, are forced to pay more than what the book is actually worth. Amazon charges $2 more per book just because one is in the Philippines.
Launched last November 11, 2011 (11.11.11), FlipReads offers cash payments through Cash Sense aside from the standard credit cards. Payments may be made through any 7/11 stores. Why don’t you check on the link below and see what books are in STORE for you.
