|Barak hussein Obama was in India for 3 days. His journey to India become more important and interesting because just now he has lost elections held in USA. Also this time US president was not visiting Pakistan just after India. Obama has an agenda engaged with his visit. And in my opinion he was completely successfully to got his goals. Let us start from the beginning.
Indians think that Obama started his visit from Bombay because he wants to pay tribute to the victims of 26/11. In my opinion it was not a primary reason behind his visit to Bombay. If it was a primary cause for his visit to Bombay then he should have included Pakistan and Hedely in his speeches. He visited Bombay first because he knows that Bombay is the economical capital of India. He wants the maximum business of emerging power India with USA. USA is not in a very good economic condition and potential business opportunities with India can help US economy in positive way.
After Bombay he went to Delhi as he has to meet with diplomats. In my opinion it was more of a formality because being in India you have to meet with PM and President.
The most important event was his speech in Parliament which was highlighted as the victory of India by our news channels. I will like to analyse that speech-
1) Obama is a very good speaker. He knows that to get a place in the heart of people you should know them. That’s the reason behind speaking some Hindi Words. He has also done the similar trick during his Japan tour.
2) Obama has supported India over the issue of Permanent seat in UN Security Council. But we should beware of one fact that Obama has not mentioned any time limit in which India will get its permanent seat.
3) Speaking some strict words against Pakistan is not a achievement for India as we know from the past that every US president use hard words against Pakistan in India but when in Pakistan they forget what they had said
The conclusion of whole thing is that it doesn’t matter that what he has spoke in India. The achievement will be for us when he repeats the same in Pakistan and Central Asia.
Obama has completed his all goals he had from his visit but in my opinion India has got one good thing which is we behaved like gentlemen in Parliaments during Obama’s speech. These are the rare moments in Indian Parliament.
